"Does filing bankruptcy mean I'll lose all my stuff?"

Posted by Jonathan Proctor | Oct 01, 2021

No - you will not lose any and all property you have due to a bankruptcy filing.  But depending on the type and value of your property, you might have to make some difficult decisions in terms of what you absolutely want to protect and what you can relinquish in exchange for getting a fresh start.  During our in-depth free consultation (by phone, video chat, or in person) we will take inventory of your property, begin assigning values to each piece, determine what is protected, and discuss potential vulnerabilities to any unprotected pieces of property.

If you need to get a handle on your debts but are afraid that doing so will result in the loss of property, give me a call so we can discuss.  In almost all situations I'm able to offer a solution that retains your most valued property while also offering meaningful relief for your debt obligations.
